Caloundra Hosts a Happy Horde
Allora Resident HolidayIn March the Allora team took a group of 10 residents for the annual Caloundra holiday. The weather was a bit wet, but didn’t dampen the spirits of the group as they journeyed north and enjoyed their holiday by the beach. The journey to the coast was part of the adventure, stopping at Yamanto for morning tea and Redcliffe for lunch on the way. The group split up on day two, as some ventured out for a spot of shopping while the others were happy to soak up the views across the water and watching the boats sail by. That night the happy holiday group enjoyed a seafood feast. Day three included a trip to Maleny, sampling cheese and yoghurt at the cheese factory followed by lunch at a picturesque restaurant at Montville. The drive home on day four was via the planetarium at Mt Cootha and ice creams at Aratula! A wonderful time was had by all, with great food and pleasure in all the activities enjoyed on the beautiful sunshine coast. The residents’ are already looking forward to next year. Southern Cross Care (Qld) C.E.O, Peter Bell, said, ‘Tania, Sonia, Daphne, Ella and Gordon, the bus driver, did a wonderful job in providing an enjoyable, safe and well run holiday that brought so much pleasure to the residents’. |
