Tea for Two... or 102!

Southern Cross Care Caloundra held a Big Morning Tea fundraising event in May. All 102 residents and their friends and family supported the event and enjoyed a morning tea to remember. Management, Diversional Therapy staff and volunteers served tea and cakes to the residents and their guests on fine bone china with the dining rooms decorated in a maze of yellow helium balloons, decorations and streamers. Seventeen tables of morning tea participants took great pleasure in the event and raised $292 towards Cancer Council Queensland. Anne Newman, Facility Manager said ‘The community spirit at Southern Cross Care Caloundra is wonderful – everywhere you looked you could see the residents, visitors, volunteers and staff enjoying a delightful atmosphere of societal giving.’ |
